Fragment Study.
A detail from a painting of Jimi Hendrix performing in London becomes the starting point for a new digital composition, then continues into fashion.

A detail inside the painting became a new work.
It began with a painting of Jimi Hendrix performing in London. In the upper part of the painting, I had painted a series of windows. I took that small section and began developing it independently. From those shapes came a new digital artwork, and from there the idea continued into fashion.

The complete painting is shown first so the source remains visible. The geometric window structure in its upper section becomes the point of departure for the later composition.
From a detail to a new composition.
The fragment is not treated simply as a print. Its black divisions and fields of colour are expanded into a larger visual system. The same structure then moves into the dress, where the body changes the scale and rhythm of the composition.
